Edible Mid Century Modern in Edmonds

How do you incorporate edible landscape and veggie gardening into a mid-century modern home? This owner loves to grow vegetables, but the shy NW sun was only in the front yard. Turns out street appeal and edibles can co-exist. The Design solution blends & re-use existing rock and adds custom steel for planters to accentuate strong horizontal lines.  Hot colors of orange  & yellow plants pick up the  rusted steel color tones, In the courtyard, the old red tile was replaced with modern, rectangular grey units for a lovely upgrade.
